The Opportunity - Software QA (Mid Level)
As a Software QA at PaymentEvolution, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our payroll, benefits, and HR solutions. You will work closely with the development and product team to ensure that our web and mobile applications meet the highest standards. This position is ideal for someone with solid experience in software testing, but who is not yet in a leadership role.
REQUIREMENTS:
- University studies in a related field (Engineering, Systems, Computer Science, or similar).
- 3–5 years of professional experience in software testing (web and mobile).
- Experience performing manual testing (functional, regression, exploratory).
- Experience with test automation using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, TestCafe, or others.
- Solid knowledge of agile methodologies.
- Ability to debug and understand test scripts using any programming language such as JavaScript, Java, Python Typescript etc.
- Experience testing APIs (functionality, basic validations, etc.).
- Familiarity with test and issue management tools (JIRA preferred). (Nice to have)
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and listening comprehension very important).
EXTRA POINTS FOR:
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins preferred).
- Experience with security and performance testing.
- Knowledge of database testing and query execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute test plans for our web and mobile applications, ensuring they meet functional and quality requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Create, maintain, and execute test cases.
- Report bugs clearly and collaborate with the development team to resolve them.
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies (daily standups, refinements, planning, etc.).
- Contribute to automation initiatives, whether by creating new scripts or maintaining existing ones.
- Collaborate with product, support, and design teams to incorporate user feedback into the testing process.
- Follow good QA practices and propose continuous improvements to processes.
