We’re looking for a Middle Frontend Software Engineer to build and evolve a large-scale real estate platform serving the MENA region. You’ll own production features from concept through post-release support, working with React, TypeScript, and Next.js across server- and client-rendered experiences, with a strong focus on quality, performance, accessibility, and maintainability.

Required for this role

• 3+ years of experience building production frontends, with ownership of features that reached production and remained reliable after release.
• Strong JavaScript, TypeScript, and React skills, including hooks, component design, state and data-fetching patterns, and a clear understanding of rendering and re-rendering.
• Hands-on experience with Next.js or a similar React framework, including SSR/SSG, routing, data loading, and server-side versus client-side responsibilities.
• Strong HTML and CSS fundamentals, including semantic markup, responsive layouts, accessibility basics, keyboard navigation, and CSS Modules or a comparable approach in a large codebase.
• Experience consuming REST APIs and designing reliable UI states for loading, errors, and empty results.
• Practical experience with testing as part of development: unit and component tests, plus hands-on end-to-end testing, preferably with Playwright, for critical user flows.
• Understanding of web performance, including what affects page speed, how to measure it, and how to validate improvements; practical experience with code quality tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good understanding of AWS or another major cloud platform and its services, plus confidence working with Git and PR-based development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, ownership mindset, and communication skills for cross-functional and distributed collaboration; Upper-Intermediate or higher English.

Nice to have

• Experience with monorepos, shared packages, microfrontends, Module Federation or other runtime composition approaches, and Node.js for BFF layers, SSR servers, or build tooling.
• Experience with internationalisation, RTL, Arabic-market products, or SEO-driven products, including structured data, crawlability, and Core Web Vitals as a business metric.
• Experience with Google Maps JavaScript API, geospatial UI, analytics and experimentation tooling, tag managers, feature flags, or frontend observability such as tracing, RUM, and error monitoring.
• Experience using AI tools in day-to-day development, including coding assistants and agents, as well as Claude Artifacts and design systems for prototypes, dashboards, or design-system pages.

Your responsibilities

• Build and ship mobile-first user-facing features with React, TypeScript, and Next.js, covering server- and client-rendered experiences across desktop and mobile web.
• Take ownership of features and technical initiatives from requirements gathering and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and post-release support.
• Refactor and modernize existing code while improving performance, maintainability, developer experience, and the shared libraries and APIs your application depends on.
• Build accessible interfaces aligned with the design system, including LTR/RTL, Arabic localization, per-country configuration, and feature flags.
• Improve and maintain web performance across bundle size, hydration cost, image and font loading, caching, rendering paths, and Core Web Vitals.
• Write clean, well-tested code with unit, component, and end-to-end tests, and use Storybook for shared components.
• Implement analytics, tracking, and experiments accurately, and use production signals such as tracing, real-user monitoring, dashboards, and alerts to troubleshoot reliability and performance issues.
• Collaborate with product, design, SEO, backend engineers, and other stakeholders while contributing to code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical decisions.
